SPRINGFIELD, IL (December 22, 2011) – BRANDT released its 2011 results from the trials at the BRANDT Research and Development Farm. BRANDT RETURNS TO NASCAR NATIONWIDE SERIES AS PRIMARY SPONSOR IN 2012
SPRINGFIELD, IL (December 13, 2011) – BRANDT announced today they are returning to Turner Motorsports as the primary sponsor of the No. 31 BRANDT Chevrolet driven by championship contender Justin Allgaier. SPRINGFIELD, Illinois (September 25, 2011) - Mother nature soaked the fields of Central Illinois this Spring. Then things went the opposite direction as drought like conditions took hold in July and August. Corn yields took a hit thanks to the early wet weather, and the dry conditions hit right when soybeans need water the most. That left many farmers feeling pessimistic about their potential yields. ABC News Channel 20's Mike Brooks finds out if the worrying is warranted.

2011 BRANDT COMMUNITY SEED TRIALS
SPRINGFIELD, Illinois (September 13, 2011) - The Brandt Retail Agronomy Division will soon be posting harvest results from the Brandt Community Seed Trials. In 2011 Brandt locations planted 24 different Community Seed Trials for corn. Each location has identical hybrids at each location. This will be a powerful data set over a wide range of geography. At the conclusion of harvesting the plots Brandt will compile the data and present the results. Included in the data will be weather totals, soil types, fertility levels, and other information specific to each location. Results will be posted as soon as they are harvested. See the results >

DECATUR, Illinois (September 1, 2011) - Continuing to take a leadership position in the industry, BRANDT is putting its corporate support behind a new initiative from the Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association. BRANDT TO HOST CUSTOMERS AT NASCAR TRUCK SERIES EVENT
SPRINGFIELD, Illinois (August 24, 2011) - In a one-race commitment, BRANDT will team with Turner Motorsports, Team RealTree and driver Ryan Newman to participate in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on September 2. BRANDT will host more than 20 key customers from its southeastern region at the Atlanta event. A philanthropic event, all proceeds will go to Beau Slocumb’s family, a Turner teammate and racer who lost his battle with cancer at the age of 26. Read more >

SPRINGFIELD, Illinois (August 16, 2011) - Evelyn Brandt Thomas today was named the Outstanding Woman in Agribusiness by the Illinois Agri Women. The honor was bestowed on Agriculture Day at the Illinois State Fair with a ceremony and luncheon on the Director’s Lawn. The award recognizes ongoing outstanding contribution to agriculture in support of the IAW’s mission to tell the story of agriculture across the state of Illinois. Also receiving awards were Jean Ibendahl, Hall of Fame Award and Joan Schone, Outstanding Illinois Woman Farmer. These three outstanding candidates begin a tradition of recognizing women in all aspects of agriculture.

BRANDT HOSTS 7TH ANNUAL AGRONOMY DAY

BRANDT CUSTOMER DONALD HORSLEY NAMED VIRGINIA FARMER OF THE YEAR
From the Sunbelt Expo (August 5, 2011) - Congratulations to Donald Horsley of Virginia Beach, VA, for being named the 2011 Virginia winner of the Swisher Sweets/Sunbelt Expo Southeastern Farmer of the Year. A long-time BRANDT customer, Horsley farms in partnership with his wife and two sons at Land of Promise Farms. BRANDT NAMES BARNHART CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER
SPRINGFIELD, Illinois (August 1, 2011) - BRANDT has named Karl Barnhart to its senior management team as Chief Marketing Officer. Barnhart will lead BRANDT’s corporate marketing efforts across the company’s three operating divisions – Retail Agronomy, Specialty Formulations and Dealer Support.
